BioWaveGO is thrilled to announce the launch of a new ‘game-changing’ partnership with SPL Champions and emerging SWPL force, Rangers FC.
This month, we will be granted official club partnership status for the team and will become front-of-shirt Partner for the Women’s team at the start of next season, signalling yet another exciting step up in our commitment to elite sports.
Supporting the Women’s Game
Speaking of the partnership, Rangers commercial and marketing Director James Bisgrove, said:
“We’re proud to welcome BioWaveGO as an Official Club Partner and the new Main Partner for Rangers Women’s team in a multi-year agreement.
“Rangers is entering an exciting period in the clubs illustrious 150-year history, and we are thrilled to partner with an organisation with the health and wellbeing of our players, but also our loyal fanbase, at the heart of its strategy.”
‘’It’s an exciting time for commercial partners to be involved with the Rangers Women’s team, who are challenging for the SWPL title, in their first season as a professional side and with a profile that is growing rapidly”.
BioWaveGO’s technology can be used by both professional and amateur athletes to treat pain, facilitate motion, and to accelerate rehabilitation and recovery, with a single 30-minute treatment proven to decrease stiffness, increase motion, and reduce muscle spasm.
Amy McDonald, Women and Girls Football Manager at Rangers WFC commented:
“Having seen the positive impact BioWaveGO has had with other elite sports teams here and in the US, we can’t wait to start using BioWaveGO as part of the drug-free pain relief, rehab and recovery for our first team as we kick off the next season.”
A different kind of partnership
Alongside our support of the women’s team, we will also feature the Men’s training kit, and be featured on hoardings and Rangers TV beamed around the iconic Ibrox stadium.
However, our partnership extends beyond just sponsorship. BioWaveGO will also be offered as medical device support for physios treating players across both the women’s and men’s teams as they kick off next season. Our Elite Sports Manager, Darren Sheppard, shared his thoughts on this unique partnership:
“Our ground-breaking technology has already been used stateside to help professional sports teams to treat pain for over 15 years and now we’re bringing that technology to elite sports in the UK.
This year, we’ve already announced an official partnership with Rugby Union team Cornish Pirates, as well as BioWave being used by a number of Premier League Football & Rugby SuperLeague teams, jockeys and Paralympians. The Scottish National Football team will also be using Biowave for the duration of the European Championship this summer, to help get their players on the pitch.
We’re delighted to be able to offer all levels of athletes the support they need in what has been the most challenging of years.”
Tackling the UK’s Pain Crisis
Steve Dechan, founder of Platform 14 – the company responsible for bringing BioWaveGO to the UK hopes this partnership is just the first step for the brand as they look to reduce the effects of pain for people all around the country. Steve said:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering up with Rangers in what is an incredible year for the club. Our devices have been proven to reduce pain and aid recovery and we hope that, off the back of a fantastic season in 2020/21, we’ll be a vital part of Rangers Women’s and Men’s team success as they push on next season.”
“Beyond that, BioWaveGO finally offers a drug-free alternative to help football fans take back control of their pain management without the need for drugs. We believe this partnership demonstrates that Rangers keep its fans at the forefront of their minds and hope that Gers fans will be among some of the first in the country to benefit from our technology.”
